Yeast Intolerance - Could It Be Harming You!

Yeast is a type of fungus that needs sugar to grow. Yeast gives off toxins and gas like alcohol, acetaldehyde, gliotoxin, zymosan and arabinitol. When candida starts to grow out of control it can start to harm our body. Candida is the most common kind of yeast found in our system and can be found primarily in our digestive system.


Candida is both helpful and harmful. In order for our digestive tract to work properly we need at least a tiny amount of candida. It's when this necessary amount grows to more than what is needed that it can lead to severe health problems. Any kind of condition that causes yeast overgrowth can result in a yeast intolerance.


Primary Reasons For Intolerance To Yeast


• Using antibiotics can lead to the dying off of good bacteria that are necessary in keeping our candida growth in check.
• Taking oral contraceptives that have a synthetic progesterone.
• Suffering from an intolerance to other kinds of foods. Candida can start to grow out of control due to the fermentation of foods that were left undigested in our digestive system.


Intolerance To Yeast Issues


• Gassy Feeling or Excessive Flatulence After Having Sugary Food
• Feeling Tired
• Bloating
• Mouth Ulcers
• Bad Breath
• Skin Disorders (Eczema or Pysoriasis)
• Congestion

To find out if you have an intolerance to yeast it's very important that you get checked out. Many different tests are at your disposal that can show you if you're affected by this condition. If want to test yourself out at home then get a glass with water and spit into the glass. Let the glass rest and soon you'll be able to see the growth of fluffy looking white yeast growing within the glass. If you do notice this then get to a physician and get checked out. Only counting on a home test is not something I would suggest.


If it turns out that you do have an intolerance to yeast than you need to get your attention focused on treatment. The ideal course of action is to start a candida diet. You'll want to cut sugar, yeast, milk products like yogurt and cheeses, processed food, fermented foods, alcohol, fruit juices and you'll need to lower the amount of caffeine you allow yourself.


Before starting any candida diet please see your physician. Normally they can start you on a specific program ideally suited for you.

Yeast Intolerance - Reasons and Stressors

When it comes to intolerance's most are already familiar with intolerance to lactose which means one is unable to digest the lactose also referred to as the sugar you can find in dairy products. On the other hand few people are aware of intolerance to yeast. The symptoms for this type type of intolerance are harder to correctly diagnose as they can often be confused for other sicknesses. These issues present themselves because of an excessive amount of yeast in one's body. Now this is an easily treatable issue but the issues should be handled as quickly as one can because if left unchecked more severe issues can occur making it harder to treat.

Yeast intolerance means that our body begins to overgrow candida. Candida is a type of yeast like fungi that lives in the damp places of the body which include the intestines, mouth and vagina. Everybody has candida in their system but usually it's growth is held in bay by the beneficial bacteria in our bodies. When this beneficial bacteria is killed off, through poor nutrition or antibiotics for example, the yeast can begin to grow excessively leading to a person getting a candida infection also known as thrush or candidiasis.

There are different reasons one may get a yeast infection. Most often a candida infection is caused by the items we ingest. People who develop a candida intolerance will have to monitor there diets closely and really be conscious of the items their putting in their bodies. Yeast thrives on foods like sugar, fermented foods (alcohol), moldy foods (cheeses), and bread. Starting an anti candida diet is one excellent way of cutting these kinds of items from your health regimen.

Another reason for yeast infection is the use of antibiotics. Certain kinds of antibiotics can actually kill off the beneficial bacteria in our body allowing yeast to grow excessively. If you feel you might have a yeast infection and are currently on any antibiotics it's important you see your doctor immediately.

One last important cause of candidiasis and many other sicknesses and health issues for that matter is stress. That's correct stress! Higher stress levels are often associated with poor nutrition and a lack of proper excercise. It's very important one learns to keep their stress levels in check. I realize that this is easier in theory than it is in real life but it's extremely necessary for the sake of your well being. One good stress reducer is exercise. When you excercise you produce endorphins which raise your mood and increases your overall well being.

Know that you know what can cause a yeast intolerance you can do your share in preventing it. Remember good diet and exercise is all one usually needs to rid yourself of excess candida. It's always good to consult a physician as they can get you on a plan that's right for you.

Diet And Yeast Infection - Surviving Candidiasis

Suffering from a yeast infection? Following a yeast infection diet means living a healthier lifestyle. Toxins are flushed from the system by eliminating foods that promote the growth and overproduction of yeast.


Foods that are highly refined are desirable for this balanced diet. These foods usually produce toxins that combat the surviving microbes of candidiasis that are present in our body. Through this elimination process, the yeast will starve and die.


If left unchecked these infections can affect the digestive system specifically the stomach and the intestine. These sensitive areas of the body once attacked can become prone to further infections that will weaken the body further and cause serious health complications.

Vegetables are also desirable during a yeast infection diet. Foods like lettuces, garlic, sprouts, kale, cabbage, broccoli, celery, tomatoes and onions should also be incorporated into your diet. The reason these vegetables are allowed is because they are not easily broken down into sugar. Sugar is the main food source for yeast therefore if we eliminate sugar we'll eliminate yeast.


Many people struggle with a yeast free diet since they feel deprived of the foods they love and have eaten all of their lives. I know it's hard but please try and stick with the diet!! Not only will your yeast infection clear up but you'll begin to notice the many positive benefits of living a healthier lifestyle.


The entire process should take between 4 to 8 weeks. At first you may begin to develop more symptoms than you originally had when first starting the diet. Don't panic! This is due to the yeast in your body dying off and releasing the excess toxins into your system. Those symptoms will begin to clear up within the first week or so and from that point on you'll quickly be on the road to recovery.
