While modern science still has very little information relating to why the tonsils and appendix are not disposable and usually considered useless body parts, they have no problem removing them every time there is a flare up involving them as the culprit. The usual verdict is that if these parts show signs of trouble, simple remove them as the common remedy. Would serious research reveal the importance of these parts that many people no longer have and halt this seeming barbaric procedure without really understanding why they are part of the body to begin with.
This was back in the days when research didn't reveal much information relating to our immune system. This new information has slowed the removal without question rate of these parts. We are now understanding the immune system's part in our overall health and the importance of every part from the factory. Many surgeons now flatly refuse to remove these organs except in extreme cases.
Persistent sore throat and snoring are just a couple of the reasons that doctors use to decide on tonsil removal, especially if it happens frequently and, along with this permanent exodus the adenoids join the ride. So many people are suffering with these problems and removing them really seems absurd now and the new mindset is to find new answers that will allow patients to keep their tonsils while they fight immunity battles in the body.
Tonsil and adenoid inflammation usually indicates a problem exists and the inflammation is just the way the body is telling you that there are problems associated with the immune system. When your body tell you these things you need to listen. If these secondary body organs are removed, the health doesn't improve but you have managed to silence forever one of the body's alarms.
Taking out a person's tonsils, adenoids, or even their appendix is the equivalent of pulling the battery out of your fire alarm when it is trying to warn you of a fire. Cutting out the organ that is causing the individual discomfort may seem like the answer but in essence it is just like cutting off the fire alarm, the fire still exists but now there is no way to know it is still raging. Without tonsillitis the person may think they're fine but they are actually less healthy without their tonsils then they were with them and that is not just an opinion but a fact.
